The General Department of Taxation (GTD) issued Official Letter 4520 / TCT-DNL on the VAT rate applicable to issuance service of letter of credit on payment guarantee on purchase on October 4, 2017.
VAT is exempted if the bank is directly responsible for customer's payment
guarantee, otherwise the VAT rate is 10%.
